Liquid physics puzzles!
Puddle is a physics-based puzzle game, that looks similar to World of Goo, but plays completely differently.
Every level of this short game requires you to tilt the world, so that a puddle of liquid is transported along to an end point. There are obstacles along the way, such as flames and electrical sparks, and while you can afford to lose some liquid, if you lose it all it's game over.
Puddle is very short, but it's a great concept. The tilt mechanism can be controlled via the keyboard or and Xbox controller, and is really simple. You can't see the whole level when you start, so sometimes you run into trouble you weren't expecting. This isn't very frustrating though, because you can always restart a level, and Puddle's great fun to play.
Each level of Puddle is differently themed. They really do look fantastic, and have obviously been designed with a lot of care. The X-Ray level is particularly impressive, and to have such cool graphics mixed with gameplay as enjoyable as this is great. Puddle is really fun, but it's also very short in its current form.
Puddle is a great looking pick-up-and-play puzzle game that is well worth downloading.

Information.
Hi.
Thank you for yout opinions.
We appreciate your compliments and understand your surprise.
For your information, Puddle, as you know it, was created as a first year students project in a french video game school.
It was developped in two month by a group of six students, as a training exercice.
Just see it as a prototype, if you want. Thanks for bringing mercury to our knowledge, though, we didn't know that game and we take your reference as a compliment.Maybe someday Puddle will be developped at commercial scale, too.
Wait and see...The Puddle Team More

Puddle.
Sounds like a complete copy of Archer Mclean's Mercury from the PSP. The concept is exactly the same. I would stick with the best, if you have a PSP then play MERCURY
Pros:
Too short
Cons:
Concept the same as Archer Mclean's 'Mercury', for PSP More

300 megs, 15min installation, 10min gameplay.
I do not think it is worth it. Gameplay time is less than 10 minutes, but installation takes about 15 minutes due to .net framework and its servicepacks also installing. The game is also extremely heavy for its content - more than 300 megabytes... Aside from having just few very short levels, the other problem is difficulty, or complete lack of it. There are few challenges offered, but they all are very straightforward, and even a bad player will save most of the liquid. Due to the fact that to complete a level you have to save about 10% of starting liquid, he won't even see the level fail screen at all. But wait, there is more. Or less, depending how you see it. Absolutely no point system, no achievments, nothing. If the player would see how much liquid did he lost, for example, he could restart the level and try again, to get better result.
So, no challenge, no points, extremely short gameplay... isn't this an excuse to install .net fixes? I actually wonder if this isn't some kind of spyware or something... with a game added on top for cover. Pros:
-Nice art style Cons:
-Installation longer than gameplay - pretty much sums it up
-No replayability value
-No storyline, just random levels More
